To Build Stronger Communities

History, Infrastructure & Economics

Resources for growth in community & business development for the indigenous people of Sierra Leone.

Historical Resources

Gold was discovered in the 1920’s Around 1930, diamonds were discovered in Futingaiya, Kono District, Sierra Leone. The country is also renowned to have the second highest water table in the world and a commercial deposit of clay, granite stones, iron ore, rutile, bauxite, marine resources, cocoa, and coffee,

Economic Growth Potential

Though we account for the third largest deposit of blue ore, there has been little or no effort by the state to seek investors who would be willing to add value to these minerals. Given the pH level of our waters, having a massive bottling facility to export a minimum of 2.5 million bottles annually at a modest sales price of US$1 each could raise US$2.5 million and create tons of jobs for the youth.

Creating Job Growth

An intervention to utilize our clay and granite stones by an installation of a $50 million dollar tile manufacturing factory to supply the sub-region has the potential to raise millions of dollars in revenue and also create thousands of jobs for the youth.  Adding value to our cocoa, coffee and marine resources could also impact revenue and job a good number of jobs in the country.
